Bwana Devil (1952) was the first 3D feature film in color. It was also the first 3D feature film in English. It is often credited as the movie that started the 3D film craze of the 1950's. This story is based on actual lion attacks on railway workers in Tsavo, Uganda in 1898. This movie was remade in 1996 as The Ghost and the Darkness. (Click on the images above to see full size.) |
